I'm a software engineer based in Newcastle, NSW - the kind who actually ships things. My day job is at Janusnet, where I build server-side and web software that ends up inside defence agencies and government departments across the globe. That environment has a way of making you precise, security-conscious, and intolerant of shortcuts.

Before that: systems development at Zenobē (energy and EV infrastructure), and a SCADA engineering internship at Hunter H2O. I've worked across embedded systems, industrial automation, and modern web stacks - which means I'm comfortable closer to the metal than most web developers, and more comfortable with product thinking than most backend engineers.

Outside of work I build my own products - an AI sports coaching app on Google Play, a SaaS compliance tool, and things that live quietly in private repos. I take on freelance contracts when the work is interesting and the client wants a builder, not just a body.
